The Story Continues...
The “Special Preferences” category of Penthouse Form (reader letters to Penthouse Magazine) first appeared in the US in 1971 as a catch-all for letters dealing with fetishes, paraphilia and unusual predilections. One particular story has garnered much attention to this day, ranking high on their list of all-time favorites, and earning a spot in the Forum Letters Hall of Fame. This story (which I have included below as it first appeared in the August 1973 issue) tells the story of a young student nurse and her introduction to enemas.
Sadly, she passed away recently, at age 74, following a long and rewarding career in Nursing. As her partner was going through some boxes in her garage, following her death, he came upon the original letter she had written to Penthouse Forum some 53 years prior. This didn’t surprise him, as the two of them had shared a long and juicy life together, giving and receiving enemas to one another among many other delightful adventures. He, of course, knew of the story and had read it many times in a much-perused copy of that original Penthouse Magazine.
What he didn’t realize, until he opened that box, was that the Penthouse Forum editors had elected to truncate the story, never publishing it in its entirety, as submitted by the young nursing student, his wife. More baffling still was the fact that, after all these years, during which they had shared so many tender intimacies, she had never once confessed to the events detailed in the second half of her letter. Was she embarrassed? Possibly. Had she forgotten? Highly unlikely. He puzzled about this for quite some time before initiating the sequence of events that resulted in this complete version of the letter coming to my attention, and ultimately to you. In the end (pun very much intended) he decided to release the letter in its un-edited entirety so that he and his now-deceased wife might enjoy one final adventure together…
