"Is there sex after death?"

That was the amusing question that we teenage boys would sometimes ask as a provocative question when I was in high school. We were mere neophytes; newbies to sex and sexual relationships. In reality, we knew next to nothing about the nature of adult sexual relationships and had highly fantasized views of what they could or would really be like.

After Catie's death, I wasn't so sure about what my life or the lives of those I was sexually involved with would look like. Beyond these people who knew Catie, how could any new relationship develop?

There were many loose ends to sort through and Catie's death didn't just bring everything that we had been part of to an immediate end. The people in Catie's life and in mine had their own "sorting out" to do.
