My Memorable Fever

This is a first-person narrative about a young man who, ambivalent about growing up, begins to realize he has developed a rectal temperature fetish. When he becomes ill, he grapples with conflicting emotions as he submits to intimate and embarrassing care from various women, each of whom has her own motive.

The story was created from personal fantasy scenarios. I have woven some of my real-world emotions into the narrative and have also integrated snippets of experiences from my childhood, but it is essentially fiction.

The plot contains cultural and technological references from the US of a few decades ago, so apologies to younger readers and/or those from elsewhere for whom those might not be as evocative as they are for me.

N.B. I have slightly edited the story in May 2024. Most of the changes are minor style corrections and clarifications. I did, however, make a slight plot change to chapters 10 and 11 to add references to Claire’s mother, which may be relevant to future chapters...
